I changed the second display (My TV) to my main display and my PC monitor as the second display in the setting and it fixed the jerking even with the TV back at it's recommended resolution at full screen it seems to be running jerk free and if you change the taskbar setting so that it shows on all displays instead of just the main one then to be honest it doesn't matter which one is set as the main display as you have full function with any. The user reports that when this problem started that it was about 1 hour or so before the computer slows down it is now starting to slow down in about 5 minutes. The laptop is a bit warmer than usual but no thermal problems. At first I thought no big deal as I have a 60" TV so whats an inch haha but after about 10 minutes into a film I decided It was doing my head in so went back and had another play and found an even better solution His computer starts slowing down, the kernel usage gets to 87 and oddly bounces as high as 240. Try using CAM or Open Hardware Monitor, theyve done well in reporting GPU usage, and its a good check to make sure its not one funky app. It fixed the jerking and actually gave me a better quality picture, however downside was I lost an inch off the edge of my screen with a black border. I've found 2 solutions that might help.įirst I turned down the resolution setting on my second display from the recommended setting by one. I tried all the fixes mentioned above but had no luck, finally after playing around with the setting I have found a few solution that worked for me so thought I share just in case anyone is still having issues. Was annoying when trying to watch a film though my external TV. After a windows 10 64 bits update, my external monitor is slow to open after sleep. Look for some application or resource that is claiming a far greater of resources. Then leave the window open and slide to one side so you can continue watching. Disable full screen mode in the meeting by selecting More actions > Full screen. Use DVI or HDMI instead USB-C to connect your monitor, if possible. For more information, see Change desktop icon size or screen resolution. Some things that MIGHT help with your mismatch: This may depend of course on fullscreen vs windowed vs borderless windowed. Change the resolution of your 4K or UHD monitor to 1920 x 1080. I've been having the same issue recently ever since the last update. Use Task Manager and Resource Monitor to observe your laptops activities and performance when not downloading. The timing generator issue is helped at 120/60 hz as it is a straight multiple.
